I wanted to bring you up to date on what happened to David after he passed the TSAP test. He finished the rest of his education certification requirements with flying colors, and subsequently landed a job at LaPorte High School teaching journalism. His previous newspaper experience was a big plus for him. He is teaching first year journalism students to begin with, as well as desk top publishing classes under the supervision of the senior journalism teacher. It is a great job, because LaPorte pays one of the high starting salaries in the state, and he will be under the supervision of a longtime journalism teacher at the high school. She did such a good job with her program and had so many students that another teacher had to be hired.

I just wanted you to know what happened to David, because I think you can add it to the many success stories that you have already had. The excellent tutoring that he got from you put him over the top, and got him into the teaching profession at least one year earlier. I am not sure he would have ever passed the test without your help. His self confidence has greatly increased due to his recent successes, and his mom and I both believe that he is now well on his way to a satisfying career in education.
